The Great Yurt

So, it arrived from Mongolia on Monday. By Wednesday, after 20 man-hours, of building it was installed ready for dinner.

It’s much taller than our other yurts and it’s extremely impressive – oh and we love it!
But it’s not just us…

Veronica – who had us sneak it in for her husbands birthday while he was on a business trip – said it was “just the best thing” she could have done. In between making us bacon rolls (fantastic) she ran about the garden going “I love it, I love it!!
“I looked all over the internet,” she said, “and everyone else is just hiring out canvas tents that look like yurts. These are completely different – they’re real rooms and they’re so much more cosy! On a cold October night with the temperature down to 6 degrees we were sooo toasty and warm that 20 of us sat there until 4 o’clock in the morning. We couldn’t have done that in a flimsy canvas version.” she said, ”and please quote me on that”.
Well there we are – consider it quoted!!

Found this site while looking for hen night ideas. Having everyone in the same place for the whole night, and not having one or two going missing when you go from pub to pub sounds good. The yurk has given me something else to think about. Thank you.
