Say a little prayer…

We’ve been digging around the history of the flags of Mongolia and Tibet.
According to our sources it seems the traditional Tibetan prayer flag was a common sight all over the mountain ranges around the Steppes for several centuries – and crucially before their association with the Buddhist religion.

It seems that Yurt Dwellers of the past might have hung the flags around the mountain tops as they travelled through from pasture to pasture.
So encouraged were we by this that we have produced what we are calling The Great Prayer Net. A collection of nearly fifty prayer flags strung up across, around and over each other in between our accommodation field.
Whilst they do have buddhist prayers on them we hope they will bring health and happiness to all who sit – or even pray – beneath them.
