“I can see clearly now the walls have gone.”
La la la.
“I can see no obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark sides that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Apologies to Johnny Nash! But it struck us the other day that we spend all our time building yurts in some if the most beautiful places only to shut out the view once we put the covers in.
It’s true there is a fundamental difference in the use of a yurt between Mongolia and the UK.
There it is a defensive thing to shut out a largely hostile environment. Here it’s different. All our events are celebrations and maybe it should be about embracing the surroundings.
So here it is. The solution. A transparent side-walled yurt. Still as dry. Nearly as warm. Just as protective. But now including the gardens.
Oh, and we love it!
